Healthy Eating Tips

- Eat slowly, stopping between bites
- Eat small frequent meals
- Stop eating before you feel full--remember it takes 15 minutes for your stomach to tell your mind that you are full
- Don't feel pressure to finish everything on  your plate
- Do not skip meals-this leads to
  overeating  later in the day
- Make healthy food choices 80% of the time
- Don't deny yourself food you like, this may
lead to bingeing. Moderation Is the key

"LOST HOPE "
By: Sue Dumais, 1993

The deep seeded feelings bottled up Inside.

Trapped In a lifestyle Compelled to Hide.

Time that won't Heal the Abuse, the Regrets.

In Time it gets Worse, Self-Respect to Build Yet.

The Weight of the Emotions I must Endure.

The Weight of the Pressure I know there's a Cure.

The Lack of Respect I Hold for Myself.

I know there's a Problem but I can't Accept Help.

I Need to be Strong but I have No Control.

My Body is Weak; the Abuse Takes a Toll.

I Need some Time to Think things through.

To Figure out just what to Do.

Every Bite I Feel such Guilt. I step on the Scale, I See it Tilt.

I'd Never Wish it on any Friend. If only I could see the end.

I've tried my best to work things out, but in myself I have too much doubt.

Anorexia Is fact of life, food is a source I sacrifice.
